What do you do when you're not at CFA?

Work and spend time with my little bud Hargun and then of course my awesome bird BIRB.

What led you to Crossfit and CFA specifically?

I wanted to live a healthier lifestyle and my brother had been in CFA so long I had to give it a try end up falling in love with it.

When did you realize that CrossFit is right for you?

After some classes and starting to learn what crossfit was I fell in love with it and I loved how I felt after every class including having the perfect environment. Everyone was amazing. 

Do you remember your first WOD? 

No sadly.

What movement do you despise over everything and why?

Thrusters because I despise them. 
What has been your all-time favorite moment at CFA?

Just being there everyday is my all time favorite.

What motivates you during a tough workout?

“ It's just a few more reps, Sherry.” 

“There is no such thing as too much weight bro” 

If you could write your own workout for a day, what would it be?

GHDs ,deadlifts, and rowing 


What are your goals going forward and what do you think will help you achieve them?

My goals are being able to climb the rope more than once, also to be able to do unbreakable toes to bar and muscle ups and pull ups. I will achieve them by practicing and learning the right techniques.

What sort of changes have you seen in your body, health, and fitness or just day to day life since starting CrossFit (before/after?)

I have stopped struggling with my acid reflux problem since I have lost weight. I feel so much healthier and happier since I started crossfit. It's something I look forward to everyday even if it's a workout I despise highly. 

What would you recommend to someone who is just starting out with CrossFit?

Not to worry about if they are not fast or doing good enough. It's a perfect way to start getting better at those things over time. 

If you could have one skill or characteristic of another member at CFA what and from whom would it be? Or which other CFA member are you the most motivated by? 

Morgan she is an absolute beast I Look up to her strength.

Sherry has been with us for almost a full year now and she has been going STRONG since the day she started. She has lost quite a bit of weight since then and also gotten stronger, faster and improved her endurance. If you haven’t met her, just look for the woman with the bird or petting the dogs or holding a baby. She has been an awesome addition to our CFA  community and is very funny and friendly. We are very thankful that Sherry decided to join our gym and we look forward to helping her continue to train towards her goal of joining the Army!
